Hi, I’m Gerald. I run a cooking studio in Singapore, where I’ve taught thousands of people how to cook Asian dishes — from hawker classics to weeknight stir-fries.

Protein Wok is where I share the recipes I actually eat: Asian food with serious protein. I got tired of seeing “healthy eating” mean bland chicken breast and broccoli, when the flavors I grew up with — soy, sesame, sambal, lemongrass, five spice — can do so much more with the same macros.

Every recipe here states the protein per serving up front, uses ingredients you can find in a regular supermarket (with substitutions when something is harder to find outside Asia), and is written for real weeknights: minimal dishes, honest timings, no fluff.
